The Wiese family has announced their involvement as benefactors to an exclusive new Entrepreneurial Business Development Program (EBDP) offered by the Aleit Academy in association with Southern Business School. This six month part-time course will commence in August this year and will be presented only twice a year, with intake in August and February (2017). Applications are now open.
The EBDP has been established to be an entrepreneurial business administration course which is compact, practical and affordable and is an alternative to the traditional Masters in Business Administration (“MBA”) course, specifically aimed at budding entrepreneurs who are financing their own tertiary education.
This 16 week course is outcomes-based and assessments are in the form of ten assignments, one for each module. The grades allocated to the assignments, are based on the following criteria; presentation (10%), theory (30%) and practical application (60%). There are no exams.
The Wiese family is a benefactor of the program, presenting a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to the top achievers. Those who qualify will be asked to submit their final business plan for review with the prospect of the Wiese’s investing capital in return for equity of up to R250, 000 in the winner’s new business venture.
Offered at the prestigious Aleit Academy on the picturesque campus at Lourensford Estate in Somerset West, evening classes will empower participants with entrepreneurial, business and leadership skills. On completion of the course each individual will be equipped to identify and implement new business concepts in practice as well as develop and manage a new business or new business unit.
Minimum admission requirement is a National Senior Certificate or equivalent - applications are now open. An Open Day will be hosted on 20 May 2016.
